SYNOPSIS:

A young scientist tries to save penguins in Antarctica from extinction by a huge solar flare. His original plan is destroyed by parties unknown, and he scrambles to implement a backup scheme, fighting everybody under the sun to save the penguins down there; from the U.S. military to the Chinese, the North Koreans, and even his own boss at the Defense Advanced Projects Agency. Along the way we learn a lot about the politics of the Freon Ban, political correctness in science, and just how delicate the environment really is.

SYNOPSIS:
