This week’s Writing Festival is a showcase of the winning Fan Fiction screenplay, plus the 3 1st scene screenplay winners. We have also added 2 best scene script readings, and a winning short screenplay. 

They will be performed by some of the top actors working in Toronto today.

Here are the details of the screenplays being performed:

#1 – Fan Fiction TV Spec – SPACE 2099 (Based on the television series Space: 1999), by  Gerry and Sylvia Anderson

Genre: Sci-Fi, Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Synopsis: The commander of Moonbase Alpha must prevent a terrorist group, led by an old adversary, from taking over a nuclear refinery.

#2 – 1st Scene – WHEN THERE WAS TIME, by James Gillard, Kevin McGruder

Genre: Crime, Mystery, Thriller

What fun it was to sit down with stunt performer Luci Romberg, who has recently been working as Melissa McCarthy’s stunt double (Ghostbusters, The Boss, Spy, Identity Thief).  She has also performed stunts on over 60 films in the last 10+ years, including Transformers, The Conjuring, Divergent, Zombieland, and Earth to Echo.
